LiftMaster SL400EVK & 722e Failsafe
#1
Hoping someone can assist.  Have just had a SL400EVK motor fitted and are trying to install that fail safes (772e) that were supplied with it but with little joy.  I have tried connecting one to the of the devices to 24VDC -/+ and the other to IR1 & GND in a number of combinations but with no joy.  The wiring diagram is not clear to me how these should be connected as the booklet supplied with the fail safes don't seem to reference my gate.

Hoping someone has already completed this and can provide some insight!

Many thanks in advance.

Hello,
To begin, connect both positive wires from each photocell sensor to IR1, and both negative wires to GND.

When installing your 772E photocells, it is necessary to perform a motor relearn procedure as follows:
[*]1. Press and hold the "P" button for 5 seconds until the LED displays "AP."
[*]2. Use the positive and negative buttons to scroll through the menu until the display shows "LL."
[*]3. Press and hold the positive and negative buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds, then release. The motors should initiate a position search automatically.

Regards Prem
[*]

Hey @Prem,

I tried your suggestion but have been stuck on a E1 error. I am fairly sure that the photocells are aligned and they have just been wired too so think there should be no cuts - could it be that they are faulty ? The manual mentions LED's but can't see any on either device so are scratching my head - any other ideas ?

Many thanks again.

Hi Tucks,

An E1 error usually means a faulty photocell I'd say this because your photocells should have a constant LED on both.

I've attached a photo of the issues you may have with E1:

Thanks Prem
