CAME F7000 Gate Openers Issue
#1
Hi All, this forum is always so helpful and hoping for a fix once again so, fingers crossed.

I have F7000 openers.  I started to get an intermittent issue whereby the gates would open but then not close.  Only a few times per week.  Then it has got to the point where the gates don't respond at all.  From the beginning I noticed that the red LED was flashing constantly.

To try and fault-find, rightly or wrongly I stripped back all the connections from my sensors, external accessories etc to narrow down where the issue was coming from.  It seems that the red LED indicator on the board is constantly flashing which suggests that it receiving a signal from somewhere.  Therefore every time I pressed the button on the keyfob or keypad it couldn't receive the signal as it was 'engaged'.  However, with everything disconnected, it does the same - the LED is flashing.  Very occasionally I could press the fob and get them to open, but never will they close via the same method.

In my wisdom, I decided that maybe there was a board issue and maybe even a relay had gone or was getting stuck.  I bought a new board and swapped them over.  Same issue.  Even with everything disconnected.  It can't be the capacitor as I only replaced a few years ago and it is both gate openers that don't move.

It's worth noting that there has been creepy crawlies inside the box and so they may have shorted something or done some damage somewhere.

I'm now out of ideas and would appreciate any help and support you are able to offer as it is driving me mad!

Thanks in advance,

Jack

Hi Jack,

From your description of the issue there could be a problem with the photocells where they think there is an obstruction or alternatively the gates could be receiving a constant open command from something like an intercom or keypad, what accessories do you have connected to the board?

Hi Jake,

Really appreciate your response. I don't have any photocells connected, in fact I have disconnected everything external including the antenna for the remote to check if there was a problem there. Despite everything being connected, it is still constantly flashing the red light like it is receiving a signal. When I do connect, even when I link in 7&2 directly, I don't get any relay click and nothing springs into action. I purchased another PCB just in case and swapped it over, but this one has the same issue and the red light remains constant.

What can I be missing? What can I test? Any help greatly appreciated as this is driving me nuts!

Thanks,

Jack

Hi Jack,

What control board is it that you are using? Also could you just confirm which red light it it is that is staying on constant?
