E8 error Code won't go away
#1
Hi All,

New here, I have a BK1800 with a ZBX-7N board.

I am currently experiencing an issue with my box. I am getting an E8 error which a quick google reveals that I need to have a look at my Acc. Fuse.
I have located this inspected it, looked absolutely fine (I even swapped it with the other fuse for the board and it worked perfectly), but went ahead and changed it for a fresh 1 amp.

I am still getting the E8 code, am I missing something, do I need to reset the board somehow?
I removed the main fuse to see if leaving it for 30 mins without power would reset something, however that did seem to work.

A little context of what actually happened, I opened the gate (sliding) with my remote, and it opened, but wouldn't go back either after 8 secs as per the auto close setting, or either on the remote button on any of the remotes (there are 3). I had to manually open the gate using the screw release on the motor box.

I would appreciate any guidance or ideas, of what to do next.

Many thanks

Hi Singhsan,

I would recommend the following;

- checking if the automatic closure is disabled, see dip no.1;
- check all the command devices are working correctly;
- ensure that nothing is obstructing the safety devices;

I hope this is of some help.

Jake.

Hi, E8 is usually the latch micro switch when locking off the motor back into place, it's for safety, I've had this with new motors, the metal plate doesn't quite hit the micro switch, quick fix, trace the door switch pair and link them together with a wago connector. I think they're orange wires.
