Following the advice to bridge terminal 35 &36 the error message went blank and I can open and close the gates with the remote. I have yet to do a continuity check on the wires ( maybe tomorrow) I did notice however that during the close operation (using the bridging above) the gats didn’t stop when I placed an obstruction in the way. I presume that’s because of the 35/36 short?
Thanks for the clear advice that has got me started on a problem that has been awaiting action for too long!
PS. How is alignment done if it’s necessary, the TX & RX are fixed to the gate pillars and haven’t been moved?
Hi,
Thank you for your message.
Presumably the photocells you have are wired into 35/36, the way they will operate is under normal conditions they will hold a closed circuit across 35/36 and then when a obstacle gets in the way of the photocells the circuit breaks.
By putting that link in you are essentially removing the photocells as part of the equation as you are simulating that everything is fine with the photocells.
Many thanks
Ben
