Proteco q80s Error 44

Hi, I've just installed a proteco slider gate motor with Q80s controller. Gate is working fine with fob and intercom/keypad. I've just installed the photosensor and they initially worked buy now I am getting an error 44. Does anyone know what this error is related to. Troubleshooting guide in the installation manual does not specifically reference 44 and I havent been able to find anything online.
