We have an issue with a gate we're trying to diagnose and I'm a little stumped. Set up is as follows
Nice MC824H control panel
2x LFAB4024 in ground motors
pair of F210B photocells (addressed as FOTO)
Safety edge on one leaf of the gate
Finger keepers at each hinge
Open command is all via Paxton Net2 ACU
System is only about 6 months old so I suspect not a failed motor, especially as it seems to function correctly 90% of the time and is only really an issue when a second car nips through before the gates have begun to shut properly (which is a separate issue!)
The issue we're having is that the gate functions correctly, except when the photocell is interupted or an open command is recieved at the very beginning of the closing cycle, when one leaf has just started to move but the other hasn't, the control panel will then go into a 'stop' state and the bluebus LED will flash 10 times indicating a motor obstruction. There doesn't appear to be any physical obstruction and the only thing that I can see that might put slightly more pressure on is the finger keepers (which I don't really want to remove as I think there is a risk of someone sticking their fingers in a narrowing gap.) Power cycling will reset the unit and it will return to normal function. Interupting photocells or sending an open command when it's further along the close cycle will re open the gates as normal and the will return to the close cycle after their 'open time' as normal.
I've adjusted the closing stops slightly and re-learnt the motors as I wondered if the point at which the gates were stopping was very slightly over extended and I'm going to increase the closing force by a point or too but I'm reluctant to increase it too much.
Any bright ideas?
