If your relay provides both an NO and an NC contact then you can connect:
- relay COM to (8) COMMON
- relay NO via magnetic contact to (1) START
- relay NC via closing photocells relay to (3) CONTACT PHOTO 1

The magnetic contact must be installed in such a way as to close circuit when the gate is closed.

- When the relay is not activated, the closing photocells and the board in general, work normally.
- When the relay is activated, contact between (8) COMMON and (3) CONTACT PHOTO 1 is broken and, if the gate is closed, contact between (8) COMMON and (1) START is made (only for as long as the magnetic contact stays activated - this means you don't care how the board treats a sustained START command).

Unless one manages to activate the relay twice while the magnetic contact is still activated by the magnet (in which case movement would stop), this is an OPEN ONLY setup for pulse and OPEN ONLY + KEEP OPEN setup for maintained command (and is a solution that can be used with any control board).
