one gate partially opening - board failure ?

Hi,
hoping someone has an idea about my issue ...
I have CAME ZM3E with 2 ATO swing gates.
All was working before the below, for at least a year.
The below detailed tests can be repeated on the other gate if I switch the power and Encoder plugs around ( ie gate 1 becomes gate 2 and vice versa ). ie seems not a gate motor issue.
I have tried manually closing the gates and turning off the pwoer for ~2 mins to see if a reset happens - didnt fix.
I did a 'reset' on the menu to see if that helped - nope.
all done with sensors turned off.
Any ideas ?

tests to try and bottom out.
(1) with gates fully open -> set encoder ... gate 1 closes  ~15 degress ; gate 2 closes fully then opens fully ; gate 1 opens the ~15 degress back to the original start position ( encoder error on screen for gate 1)
(2) gate 1 manually partially closed by ~45 degress .... same as above
(3) gate 2 open and gate 1 closed or partially open ... repeated press of open button on keyfob opens gate 1 by ~15 degress each time button pressed until fully open.
(4) turn gate 1 to manual ... whether encoder or manual press, can her gears whirrring for just what is probably 15 degress if engaged - ie no attempt to keep going.

Thank you for your message.

Can you confirm on your control board where the motors are if there are two white cylinder units connected onto the motors phases, these are known as capacitors.

Firstly if you swap the capacitors over does the fault change to the other motor, if so then it is a replacement capacitor that must obtain.

If not, then I would swap the motors over in the control board and try run them again, if the other motor begins faulting then this indicates that there is something wrong with the board, potentially a setting or a calibration is needed.

However, if the fault stays with the same motor then I would say it could potentially be something to do with that motor in particular, perhaps cabling?
