House WG2 Gates will not close
#1
I was wondering if anyone can help?

I opened my Mhouse Swing Gates WG2 this morning fine, then when I came to close them they would not respond to any of my remote units, when I pressed my hard wired control unit inside the house the light on top of the gates just flashed twice but with no movement.

I then went to the control unit outside, again I pressed a remote and this time the light above the gates would flash twice but no movement. Being close to the control unit I could hear 2 clicks inside the box when I tried to open the gates. The ECbus seems to okay flashing just on and off each second.

Do you have any ideas what could be causing the problem, I’ve never had the problem before especially the clicking sound inside the control box?

Many thanks

Hi,

Please try factory resetting the control board, but pressing and holding P2 and P3 for around 10 seconds.

Once this is done, disconnect all accessories until it is just the motors wired in.

Then relearn the ECSBUS, press and hold P2 for 2-3 seconds.

Once that is done, manually release the gates into the halfway position and relearn the limits. (press and hold p3 until the gates being to move).

Once this is done, give it an open command via either the remote or bridging between the open input.

Any problems, give us a call on 01384 569942

Hope this helps.

Thanks so much for this good advice - I’ve done all this but can’t manually release my left gate as the mechanism wasn’t correctly put back after changing a part last year. So I can’t place both gates in the halfway position for the control board to relearn.

Is there anyway for me to manually release this gate with a strategically placed screwdriver etc?

Many thanks

Hi,

As the shape is specific to that ram for the manual release. It is a struggle to release them without the tailored key.

I can only recommend using some pliers to turn to shaft to release it in the desired position.

Hope this helps.

Thanks but the whole ram and plastic mechanism is not in position anymore so pliers wouldn’t work. Is there no other way of manually releasing the mechanism?
