140 degree automated gates
#1
I have a query.

we want a set of gates to open to 140 degree we do not want to use underground gate rams. We want to use spider rams which open to 110 degree. IF we offset the spider rams further away from the gate post will we be able to get them to open to 140degree if we offset them in the correct place.

regards

I don't think there is an Arm Available that will give you an opening much more than 110 degrees. The Only solution for 140 degree opening would be Underground motors.
As an arm Pivots and the Geometry determines the angles that can be achieved it is very important you do not fit an arm outside its recommended geometry. This will cause damage to the arm and brackets as the arm will be pushing and pulling beyond its limits and in theory will be fighting against itself. The Max you can usually get with any Arm type automation is 120 degrees.

Hope this has helped with your questions

Hey, Thank you for your reply. We have now found a solution which means we can open to 130 degrees using articulated electric gates. There is a system specificly designed for wide angles.
But thank you for your input.
Kind Regards
