Hi guys,

Really stupid female question but does anybody know if I am using more electricity by keeping my gates held open than allowing them to remain closed?

My 10 year old gates work great and I have the facility to keep them open with the aid of a switch. Just wondering if I’m costing myself more money by leaving them open for long periods.

Any info gratefully received!
