Genius 592 Control Board - Guest - 22-07-2009

Can anyone help, my gate motors need 240v but they are only getting 120v out of the connection in the control board. Therefore the gate motors are overheating with the motor being on but not operating the gates. How can we rectify the problem.

The gates are not overheating because of the 120V. If you have 120V coming out of the board it may mean it is in slow down mode or the force is set very low. You should look at re-learning your gates. If the gates are not operating at all, the first thing to do is try changing the capacitor as this would cause them to stop working and buzz and get hot.

You can purchase a capacitor or a new control board from us by calling 0845 054 50 70.

Attached are instructions for the Genius 592 control panel which should help you along.

Hope this helps.
