aster 5 gate adjustment - Guest - 06-07-2009

my proteco aster 5 right hand opener functions but opens too far I assume adjustment is done by undoing from the gate and screwing the ram down a turn but I have discovered that the mechanism can be pulled out from the ram revealingthe internal mechanism have I damaged the opener and can I reinstall the mechanism toprevent it coming loose ?

Hi, you should have physical gate stops in the ground to stop the motor running to the end of its reach. also there should be a function on the board to decrease the motor run time, or there maybe a function to learn where the gates open and close to. you should refer to the manual for this information.
