Faac 740D, Open further then limit, not closing - emiel - 26-08-2025 I have a sliding gate with a FAAC 740D control board. The issue: the gate only opens, even when the led indication is showing closing (06) When the gate is manual moved to close or to open this is correctly displayed on the LED display. When the gate is manual moved in the middle position the both FCA & FCC led light up correctly When the gate is Manual placed in closed position and the remote is pressed the gate moves to open. It then slows down when the end switch (magnet) is near and it stops correctly at the end stop. (full open position is reached) Then it's indicating 04 on the led, a timer counts and after 30 seconds the gate continues to open further. The indication at this time on the LED is 06, this should be in the closing direction but instead it moves to open. This results that the gate is moving to a mechanical end-stop, the motor tork is buzzing and i switch off the power from the gate drive. back ground info: - The gate was functional, i added a code panel for opening, this had been functional and still is. (when the code is correctly pressed the gate starts opening) - then i discovered above strange behavior of the gate drive (Not closing, but opening further then the end stop) - i disconnected the code panel. this did not have any effect, (sadly) - i verified the functioning of the photo's, 2 pair have been installed, NC contact and they are functioning correctly. For now i am stuck how to resolve the issue. could this be a problem with the board itself, replacement of the 740D circuit board needed ? looking forward to advise from the community Thanks in advance Best regards Emiel RE: Faac 740D, Open further then limit, not closing - Jakedugmore - 26-08-2025 (26-08-2025, 03:13 AM)emiel Wrote: I have a sliding gate with a FAAC 740D control board.Hi Emiel, It could be that the photocells are not able to see each other I would check if when the photocells are obstructed you can hear the relay click on the board, alternatively it could be that the gate is getting a constant open command possibly from the keypad you have wired in, to test this check to see if you get continuity across the relay on the keypad to check for a stuck relay. I would also check your cables going out to the keypad to see if there is a short. Have you got any other accessories wired into open? |
