Mid closure very stiff when done manually - Kcy - 22-06-2025 Hi, Had an issue whereby gate leaf would not close but would open using MOT. Whilst attempting to fix, manually closing the gates ( after disengaging the lock ), the gate was extremely stiff mid way through its arc. So much so that after doing it a couple of times, it ripped the mount from the gate and sheered off the bolt the motor uses to attach to the gate mount. No stiffness on the other leaf. I assume its an issue with the motor / arm ? If so, any idea which bit inside - the electric motor, the board, the shaft ? I have an old motor arm that i may be able to canabalise if only i knew what to do. If not, im assuming new motor / arm + And then i have to go back to why it wouldn't close in the first place +( |
