Gates not fully closing - stefen1978@hotmail.co.uk - 07-10-2022

Hi,

I have underground Nice BM 4000 motors and a BFT Rigel 5 control box. One of the gate opens and closes fine, the other will only swing closed about 10 degrees before stopping. I changed the capacitors, could do with some advice on how to fault find on it.

Thanks in advance, Steve  Smile

Hi Steve,

I would start by running the motors in single mode, which is wiring the motor into motor 1 and leaving motor 2 out.

This will then allow you to pinpoint whether it is a motor issue or a output issue on the board.

As it is a 230v motor and not 24v, there is no encoders so i would recommend testing the resistance of the motor to see if it is too high or too low could also be a possible issue.

Kindest Regards,

Sam.

Hi Stefen,

Could you tell me what the Bluebus LED is doing? it should be flashing once every second if working correctly. however, if there is a fault there will be a pause after a number of flashes depending what the fault is.
Example would be 2x flashes then pause, would mean a photocell issue.

Mike
