Q80A Strange fault. Cannot work it out, if setting or fault?

double swing gates, new q80a board fitted to an olf underground shark.

the old Q60 was taken out due to faulty aerial sytem after 15 years, and replaced with Q80A

the gates work perfectly ok, except.

1 - when you open the gates with keyfob, they open ok.
2 - When they hit the end stops and the board is doing its time delay before closing, you freeze the gates with the key fob, ok
3 - but now if you wait a few minutes and you use key fob to close the gates, the control board seems to lose where it is in the cyle, the gates accelerate faster than normal, and end up hitting the closed gates stops hard. The affected one gate, slams so hard you can see the gate warp, with the motor trying to go further than normal.
4 - Now if you reopen the gates with key fob, only one gate opens the other stays where it is (closed)
5 - you have to go throught the process of opening and closing gates 3 or 4 times, then it starts working again, all ok.
6 - works perfectly ok opening a closing autom atically, until you (1) above.

Video of faulty action is 250Mb and is located at https://gb-online.co.uk/dump/proteco-gates1.mp4

Please be aware some of the timings have been changed, but the effect is still the same.

Any ideas or advice please.
