Gate wont stay shut - camberlan - 15-09-2016
Hi all,
We have a single electric gate (Came I think) which swings open and shut. However recently when closed it closes all the way against the metal post, however when the motor disengages the gate then opens a few inches before the arm prevents it opening more.
Anyone have any idea what is going on and how I can stop this?

It sounds like the motor start to be tired. It should autolock in the position when close or open, this is done with the help of a gears for endless screw type of motors or with a locking valve for hydraulic rams. Overtime it is likely they get tired due to wear and tears.
two solutions:
replacement of the motor or fitting of a lock i.e maglock or electric deadlatch
