Frost, Fog and Photocells - Ronn - 17-02-2016

Hi

Hope someone can help! I stay at the top of a hill in a very exposed part of the countryside. Every winter I have problems with my gates not opening when it is frosty or driving snow. A quick wipe of the photocells to remove the frost covering or driven snow and all works fine. My old beam photocells have an internal heater and never fail.

So my questions are:

1. Can I buy photocells which are not affected by the frost snow or fog?
2. Could I fit some sort of small heater to the existing photocells?
3. Are there any gate photocells available with heaters installed?

Any help or advice would be very much appreciated
