BFT LUX arm not fully closing - petebanham - 04-03-2012

Hi,

I am hoping that someone can help me with a problem I am having. I have a pair of LUX 2B FC arms controlled by a Rigel 5 panel. One gate opens and closes fine while the other one opens OK but when it closes, it stops before fully closing and leaves about a 6" gap.

I have increased the motor operation time on the control panel and can hear the motor running for about 3 seconds after the gate stops moving so I am reasonably sure that it is not a motor run time issue. I have also increased the torque cut out on the arm itself and that also made no difference.

Its worth noting that there is no closing ground stop fitted and I believe the FC arms have an internal stop mechanism in them instead and so I am guessing it is this that needs adjusting so my question is does anyone know how to adjust the closed rest position on these arms please?

Many thanks in advance

Pete

I do not recall that LUX has any limit switches. If you are saying that time is okay, torque is okay and valve on the operator is oaky (adjusted) and you can hear that motor is working for 3 seconds but not moving I would say that either there is no enough oil in the operator or you have to adjust ball joint at the gate bracket (by unscrewing it).
Can you fully close the gate in manual mode (by hand)? Have you got opening and or closing delay?
Okay LUX FC has got something what they call internal stop mechanism but this is only spring inside the operator (kind of dampener) and it is non adjustable.
I have attached supplement for LUX FC
