GATE OPENING INDICATOR - Evo - 17-02-2012

Thanks

Not sure what are you after Evo? Most controllers have some additional outputs activated when gate is in motion or motion+open. Otherwise you can use flashing light output to trigger whatever you need.

Thanks for replying,im sorry i did'nt clearly explain what is wanted, the gate is on a farm ,at the main drive entrance ,the farm house is approx 130/150 yards from gate so i dont want to be running a cable from panel to house ,so a wireless device is required for the job operating as following. When gate is opening, a sounder/strobe will sound at the house ,i have thought about a wireless door bell ,connected the bell push, in parallel to the "open/com" terminals in gate panel. So when gate gets open command it also triggers bell push which activates door bell at the house , if ther is a unit that will operate at that distance,?? Thanks Again.......Evo.

I see! I would go with good range radio Tx and Rx. For Rx you'd have to use aerial on this range. If there is output from the panel then you can connect it directly. If not, then I'd connect relay to trigger Tx. In house I'd use receiver, PSU and whatever is required (strobe or sounder).
In regards to range I'd speak to suppliers but in straight line it shouldn't be a problem for good quality set. Receiver and transmitter IMHO is what you need not a door bell but I guess bell will do the job as well
