Conduit and cables. - marknjo - 21-08-2008

I've ran a 32mm conduit between my gate posts that I was going to run cables for photo cells, gate openers and mains power for a light, reading the destructions for the liftmaster 24volt kit it says they need to be all in separate conduits, have I got to cut the drive up again or will it be ok all in one?

What's the worst that can happen.

Thanks.

You should never run high or medium voltage cables in the same conduit as low voltage cable. Apart from the possible hazards of induced high voltage in the low voltage cables, it can also cause the photocells to behave erratically.

Thanks Malcolm that has answered the question, a bit of concrete cutting it is then.
