Hi all,

I am currently wiring in the RBS600 for a sliding gate and i have managed to get it all working on the remote.

However, i am now looking for where to connect the door entry system that has a dry contact?

We want it to open only as we will use automatic closing.

I was told by NICE to use the SBS and 24v connections but looking through the programming LEVELs, there doesnt seem to be an option to set it to open only on each activation via the door entry system.

Any help please?

Hi Jason,

Hope you are well.

You would use the normally open and common (dry contact) from the entry system into SBS and 24v (N.O into SBS and COM into 24v). You would then change the Step by step function to Condominium which is done in level 2 programming under STEP-BY-STEP-FUNCTION and changing this to L4 (condominium). This means that only OPEN commands will be sent and if another command is triggered while opening, the gate will not be affected.

Once fully open, the gate will close after the automatic close time.

Many Thanks.

Aiden.
Thanks.

Can i also use the same connection method for a pair of photocells internally for vehicle exit?

(I had to rejoin with a modified username as my original was banned for SPAM for some reason?)

No problem,

These connections would be the same for the photocell, providing that the photocell has a N.O and COM connection. If you are planning to power this from the control panel accessory output, you need to make sure the photocell can take 24v.

Having an access control system and photocells powered from the control panel should not be an issue, however I would not add a lot of accessories in future as there would be too much for the control panel. Best thing to do in future is use a external power supply for other accessories.

Many Thanks,

Aiden.
