Hi - Ive had my gates for over 3 years and they suddenly stopped working.  So they wouldnt open at all.  I found a loose wire, which iv reconnected and  Ive managed to reset them, but now they reopen after 30 or so seconds

Also, when the beam is broken they close rather than open - 

Does anyone have any ideas?   Ive attached a picture of the wiring.   Thanks in advance

are you Referencing to when the photocell is intervened the gate stops and recloses?
