Just moved into a property which has BFT Ares 1000 sliding gate.
Was all working fine until we had a huge storm which blew down the fence, smashing one of the photocells.

The power to the gates had been turned off for a while whilst the groundwork's for the new post and replacement photocell was installed.

However now the gate isn't working properly. When the power is first turned on they will work but then stop. Turning off the power and turning it back on makes the gates work again, but only to perform one function (open or close once).

The photocells seem fine and click when you place a hand in front of them.

Looking on the display panel there was an er61 error which seems to mean that the gates are using battery power but we do not have a battery pack.

The error has now been replaced with 'bar' on the display screen.
Any ideas?

Hi,

Thanks for the message.

Bar would indicate a safety fault on the control panel. do you have safety edges on the control panel?
