Morning!

The buttons on my Rigel6 have suddenly stopped working. I've checked the connections for power (50/51) and I can see wires plugged into 60+61 and 60+64. I'm assuming 64 are the two gate buttons and 61 are the ground loops. When I open the board the letters PED are showing on the LCD display.

My question is - if there is an issue with a particular pin on the board (61 for example) can I relocate the connections in 61 to 64 with no ill effects or will this affect the programming on the board? I assume 64 normally issues the PED command which the board is configured for opening a single gate and attaching to 61 will open both gates.

Cheers,

Rob

Hi,

thanks for the message,

if you are using other pins on the board there is not an issue doing this however, the logic on the board will need to be reconfigured via the logic settings.

Many Thanks
Joe
Appreciate the reply, thank you.

So I could move to 61 (which defaults to StartE) and I can reprogram that. Got it. Thank you.

Also, just thinking about it. As the board constantly shows PED on LCD, could that be a short somewhere in the gate buttons that are causing the PED command to be issued and it's just shut down?

Hi Rob,

PED is pedestrian input activated. This means that whatever you have wired into the PED input is shorting to give it a constant command.

Kindest Regards,

Sam.
Sam - I read this and then took one of the buttons off. It dumped a load of water on the floor. Problem solved. Thank you to you both. Smile
