My single leave swing gate stopped working. I have underground FAAc motor and 3 pairs of safety photocells. I have identified that one of the photocells has no light and its control board has water damage as per picture.  I need advice with the following questions please,

Does replacing the damaged photocell will resolve the problem of the gate not opening?
Is there a need to re-program the keyboard setting after installing the new photocell.

Hi,

thanks for the message,

the photocell that is damaged would presumably be for the opening direction, if so then yes this will rectify the issue.

you should not need to reprogram anything.

Thank you JoeF for your advice. I have ordered new photocell and will let you know the outcome once I put them on. The damaged photocell is for preventing the gate from opening if blocked.
It worked, I installed the new photocell but notice the Rx end has one light only, so went back and opened the photocell and found the two of the four cables rubber casing were damaged with wires broken 10 cm from the end inside the metal post.  Luckily there was plenty of cable length, so  cut off the damaged section and connected fresh end of cables and all is good.  Thank you JoeF!
