Hi,
I am replacing a pair of old BFT photocells with newly purchased Compacta cells, connecting to a Rigel 5 board.
These control a pair of vehicle entry gates to my property, the photocells used for safety so gates dont close when somethings breaking the beam.
The old BFT RX unit had 4 connections, the new one has 5 (additional FAULT PHOT, terminal 4).
The old TX unit was battery powered, however I have run a cable to wire up to the new TX to 24V power on Rigel 5. The multi-language manual Fig. 7 shows terminals 20 and 44 for TX power - however there is only 0.7V across these terminals. Should I be wiring the TX to somewhere else ?

I have wired up the new RX unit for Power (terminals 1 & 2) to Rigel 20, 21,  with signal connections COM PHOT and PHOT (terminals 3 and 5) to 35 and 36 for PHOT and COM - this is how the old 4-way RX unit was connected, and as per diagram 7.
The RX unit has power OK to the unit, but no light blinking (the old unit blinked even when TX was not connected)
Does the FAULT PHOT terminal need to be connected for this to work ? if so, would this be jumper 53 as per Fig 7 ?

Are these the correct terminals for the new cells ? the manual has figures 9 and 10 which has other terminals for RX.

Thanks for any help!
Richard
