Full Version: Daitem Wireless Intercom caller unit not working

Hello, we have literally just moved in to our new house and it has the Daitem wireless intercom system installed for the front garden gates and the large driveway gates (model: SC902AU).

The caller unit keypad on the outside of the gates doesn't seem to be working at all. It won't "call" the handset in the house and it won't open the gates when we put the code in (no beeps or noise from the unit). The unit is lit up though.

At the moment, I'm having to stick my hand through the gates to (blind) press the code on the house side.
When we press the key button on the handset, this does open the gates, so the handset seems to be paired.

I'm familiar with the old analog system from my last house (and have re-paired the handset to the controller on many occasion) but have never used this digital one.

I've trawled google and the instructions to see what the issue may be but literally can't find anything about this issue. The previous owner mentioned something about powering down and resetting but I can't find anywhere to explain how to do this and whether this would even work.
I have no paperwork to say who installed it and am loathe to call someone out if it's a fairly simple fix.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Gemma
Hi Gemma,

The new one is pretty much the same as the old one, just different technologies. I would advise opening the call station to view the inside for any possible damage by insects/water. Behind the face plate is a white unit. That unit will require taking apart.

Thanks Sav, I'll try that later and see what it looks like.
