I have a DAITEM doorphone (SC100AU) and an outdoor caller unit and keypad which controls an electric gate.

For some reason I have lost the ability to use the key pad to open the gate.

I have followed the manual to delete the existing PINS and enter new ones through the door phone:

e.g.
Enter the Access menu
Go to PIN
Go to delete and confirm Yes to delete
Go to size and set to 4
Add new PIN making sure this is within 5 seconds and getting confirmation tone
Cancelling back out to the main menu

I have checked that PIN is active (although this defaults anyway when you enter new pin)
I have gone into Auto Command menu and tried setting this to GATE and ELECTRIC STRIKE (although I am not sure what the difference between these is)

Having gone through all this, the keypad doesen't open the gate.

Also the handset is not opening the gate when someone rings.

I can open the gate with a remote control.

Can anyone help me please?
Hi,

Have you checked the output when typing the code? Does the contact short circuit between connections 12 & 14?

Can you still release the gates from the handset?
Thank you for your reply. It has taken me a long time to get to it!

I am not sure what you mean by "Checking the output when typing the code". Could you explain what this means please? I have an electrical test meter if that helps!

Also how can I test for a short circuit between 12 and 14.

The gates will open with a separately programmed remote control and from the hard wired switch to the side of the controller. However, they will not open from the telephone hand set. The voice communication between the telephone hand set and the keypad unit is OK.

I have reset the radio link to factory settings and have re-established the radio link but this has made no difference.

Any help would be much appreciated
