Hi

Need a little help in choosing a good sliding gate kit for my home.

My gate is 5 foot high and 4.6m long and is wrought iron so should weigh no more than 250 to 350kg. I was looking at a came bx-246 24v kit but could not find a battery back up for it, do they do one/is it compatible with any? Apart from the battery back up are there any other pluses to use a 24v one over a 240v? if a 240v one has power failure is the a way to open the gate like a safety release?

Any help would be much appreciated?

Thanks
Dan
Hi, ususally 24v operators are for intensive uses and as you said for battery back up.
Usually 24v have an amperometric safety release built on the control panel which you don't have in 230v (so you should put a mechanical safety edge or something like that)
