I had a replacement Control card fitted about 7-9 months ago to my CAME BX74 system.

The first thing that we noticed that the distance from the antennae had reduced from around 75 metres to 10-20 metres.

We were OK with that as it was a big improvement on the previous situation.

However the distance has continued to reduce until now one has to get out of the vehicle and stand less than 1 metre from the gate with the remote control device for it to open. Also one has to keep the button on the remote depressed for longer to enable the gate to open.

The latest development is that sometimes the gate doesn't open at all unless one places slight pressure on the gate pushing it gently in the direction of opening while pressing the remote control. This opens the gate every time.

I have joined up here to see if any kind soul has experienced the same issue and might point me towards a solution and because Irish gate installers charge "like a wounded bull".

Hello Wheelan

From the information you have supplied us with, it sounds to me as if you have interference probelms, i believe you need to change your frequency from 433.92mhz to 868mhz the only way to do this is by changing your radio card and your remotes, sometimes and aerial can help improve the range.

i hope this information is useful to you.
