Hi
I have a Deimos BT sliding a solid one piece wooden gate. it has 2 mitto transmitters, cellula 130 photocells, intercom, with 2 internal handsets.
Couple of days ago when trying to close it got half way across then went back to staying permanently open, it then sat there and wouldnt close, intercom manual input of number did nothing, pressing keyfob did nothing, so i closed it manually with lock off then put lock back on. This morning, when i tried to open again with keyfob, the grey motor box was making a noise but not moving the gate, so had to open and close manually again. unfortunately the git that fitted it in May 07 who charged a fee for 2 years maintenance as gone awol.
could the cold weather have affected it ? it has been about minus 7 at night ???
Any advice guys would be greatly appreciated
thanks
All electric motors can be affected by temprature and there maybe a force adjuster on the circuit board to alter the electrical force the motor uses. These are a part of the Antisquash marked as AMPO and AMPC .

But this fault could also be caused by the Photocells being faulty or blocked or frozen up

I would check the photocells and connections first the alter the antisquash adjusters - But allways refer to the original instruction manual for you system before making any adjustments
