Hi,
i have finally finished the gate installation and all the wiring is in place. Now i have to wire the liftmaster sly500 with a cb224 control board.
The question is the liftmaster ir sensors are both connected to the same terminals ie the -ve from both to common terminal 10 and both +ve to terminal 11 (should it be 12 ?)
During the wiring of the board, i notice that there are 3 permanently linked terminals , 2 with a pieces of blue wire and one with a piece of bare wire. I very stupidly removed these without noting which terminals they were linking. Can you show me which terminals should have this permanent link so i can replace them. Also the motor on my kit has a red and blue wire which i assume goes to terminals 3 and 4, but which way round.

Thanks

Hi, I have Liftmaster sub 300s with a CB11 control unit and photo cells. When we zap the gates open when in the car the gates behave and close again behind us after the time delay. However, we can hold the gates open by pressing the zapper again once the gates are open. That works. However, if we then press the zapper again after say the visitors have gone, the gates start to misbehave and close and open a few times before returning to the open state. Sometimes they will then close of their own accord half an hour or maybe an hour later. Sometimes they will close if we zap them again after the same sort of length of time.

An independent gate engineer came today to service them and look at the problem. He thought the issue might have been spiders etc in the photocells but no. Even when he disconnected the photocells they misbehaved. I am now being quoted aot of money to change the cb11 to a different model, and the zappers but its outside my budget!

Is there a solution to this problem? What other information do you need to know to advise? Do i need a new board?

Many thanks

I have a few other ideas for a web interface using a raspberry pi to give full timer control to a gate that needs to stay open at different times on different days but ill get to that soon :-)
Cheers in advance for any help
Edit: just thought if anyone can take a hi res pic of both sides of a MEL interface (carefully bending the large capacitor up) then I can probably sus out what I need.

Could it be one of the capacitors if so which one?

Thanks
Upon opening the box the board is a Rigel 5 version 1.7, if this makes any difference?

I moved home and inherited a Electric Gate which is fitted with a SLY 300 motor. The problem is that yesterday we had power cut...i managed to climb t ate and on the back of the motor there is a lock and a knob which i guessed was to manually open the gate i turned the knob and pushed the gate back all ok...

We were out of power for around 8hrs when we came home i closed the gate remotely and it closed ok. This morning i opened the gate ok but it wouldn't close..and there is now a humming noise coming from the control box ?....i ave looked on the liftmaster website and it states to turn to turn the knob and use a socket to turn something 180 degrees which i can not locate ?...i think maybe something in when i opened it manually and then remotely closed has caused te issue..

Could anyone please advise as its much appreaciated

Thanks
