Proteco Aster's Q60A shows a strange error

Hi everybody!

I have a Proteco Aster (i think it's the 400 series) since 2009. A few days ago it was a blackout and after that my gate opener stopped working.
I looked into the control box and the screen shows the "St" error.
After I looked in the manual I checked if the bridge between "2" and "8" still there and yes, it stills there. I checked everything I could, also I connected directly a wire between "2" and "8" but it didn't work.
I need some help please. What can be the problem? I called at the support department here in Romania and the guy said me the only issue can be is that bridge, but actually it isn't.

Please help!

remote will open but not close garage door

Hi,
The remote for my ML 850 will open but not close my garage door. I can close the door by using the wall button but I have to keep the button pressed until the door closes completely otherwise it opens again and I have wait till it opens completely then press the wall button again, keep it pressed until it is fully closed. I have tried removing the remote then re programming it but that has made no difference.
Any advice gratefully received!

One gate acting in reverse

I have a problem!
I am using a CB24 controler and 2 LYN400-24 operators.
And I have checked all wiring several times.
My problem is that when I set up the limits the unit accepts them but then when I operate the gates from the closed position only gate 1 opens then when I close the gates, gate 1 closes and gate 2 opens at the same time.

I am puzzled, anybody got any ideas?

ML850 Remotes don't work

Both remotes stopped working shortly after I changed the batteries. Even completing the reprogramming procedure doesn't work. The manual button inside the garage still works. What could cause this and how do I fix it? The opener is a 2004 model.

Hi there,

My GiBiDi sliding door malfunctioned today. When I opened the gate, the gear turned a bit more than usual, and so the rack is no longer in contact with the motor gear. Now the door will not close.

I got the following info from the gear motor box for your information:

Type: PASS4PLUS
Code: 92104
SN: P4P000000275

I guess the open and closing limit of the sliding door should be adjustable. But after I moved in this property the former owner lost the operation manual. Could someone please tell me how to do that? I googled internet but didn't find the manual. It will be greatly appreciated if someone could send me a copy of the operation manual.

Came BX 74 Motor

Hi All,
18 months ago I installed a sliding gate on my drive and used the Came BX 74 Kit coupled with a Daitem door entry system. To be honest it has always been problematic but most of that was caused by trying to incorporate the door entry system. More recently the gate started to intermittently reverse when both opening and closing but it seemed to be whilst in the decelerating portion of its travel. So I turned off the dip switch to remove the decelerations and everything has been fine for a while. Lately though I've noticed that the motor sounds very weak when it initially operates almost like if it were battery powered and the batteries were low on charge. This is compounded by the recent frost as when everything is frozen it requires more torque to get going. The motor is set on the highest torque setting. When I have spoken with Came they have sent me a new capacitor but this hasn't made any difference. I asked if they would send me a new motor but they won't without you return your motor and they diagnose that it is faulty, which is no good as it leaves a big old heavy gate redundant. Can anyone shed any light on what my problem may be and advise on how I can resolve it?

Liftmaster 5580 - Overunning Limit Stops

Hi - I have 2 5580s opening a pair of garage doors with canopy arms - both have worked faultlessly for a couple of years but one and now both are giving problems with the opening limit stop. When opened both doors now open fully but continue to run so that they bounce and end up partially closed again. Previously, both had been working perfectly and nothing has been adjusted. I have tried to use the adjuster to correct the problem - tho usually works but I have had no luck this time as the tiniest change makes a huge difference to the doors operation - the adjusters seem very sensitive. Can temperature affect the operation of the adjuster or do I need to replace the adjuster element of the openers. The manual tells me that 1 turn of the adjuster changes the opening by 2 inches - on mine, the slightest twitch makes a massive difference. One 5580 has been doing this for a year or so but has been correctable - the other one started only this week. Is it possible to redatum the limit stops and start again? Hoping for some help - happy to buy some new boards if required - Merry Xmas to all!

Wireless Intercom Conflict

Hi all just signed up, thought it polite to say hello, and no the B does not stand for Bill.

My thread I hope can help me in trying to find out why I am getting an error on the GSM side of my recent installation of a Came Frog & the wireless GSM gate entry point. It appears random in the fact that if I use the key fob and interrupt the gate opening cycle the intercom sounds a "B" bleeping noise, which in turns cause the GSM system to fail to work. Is it possible that by my action of interrupting the opening cycle is in turn causing the GSM box of tricks to get confused and is perhaps attempting to reset it's self hence the beeping and loss of function.

Any help would be appreciated.

I have the Daitem d5731gb wireless intercom I need the manual on this system.
I seem to have lost the signal from the handset in the house to opening the gates, my key fob doesn't work either.
I also need to change the 4 digit secutity code.

We have recently bought this house hence no manual.

Really hope someone can help me with this.

lyn300 control panel

i brought a lyn300 24v double gate kit 2 years ago from easygates and have had loads of problems with the remote controls not working and the only way these can be made to work again is by just turning of the mains supply for a few seconds and turning back on again bearing in mind the batteries are still connected , the remotes work for a short time and then stop working again then its back to resetting system again via turning of the mains supply.
i have already replaced the reciever board and reprogrammed system / fobs
which again works for short period then fails again
any ideas before i look into replacing the control board to see if this resolves the problem
Any clues on cost of replacement cb24

LYN300 Diagnostic light flashing 6 times

Hello,

Recently my LYN300 gates stopped opening.

Upon trying to reset the limits, gate 2 opens and closes with no problem. Gate 1 however doesn't move, and the diagnostic light flashes 6 times.

All the fueses look fine, and there are no red lights on the photo cell sensor. I have tried repositioning the "Force" switch but to no avail.

I've looked in the manual and there is mention that this could be something to do with "Force Reversal"? But I don't know what that means.

Is there anything that I can try?

Could this be a problem with the board or motor?

Would it be worth swapping the motors around on the board?

Any suggestions about what to do would be very welcome!

cb24 photocells

I have a CB24 board with photocells. They are set to operate on close only and have been working fine for a couple of years. Now, instead of a consistent red light on the cells, there is an intermittent flash - time between flashes can be between 2 seconds and 40 seconds. Occasionally they will stay on long enough for the timer to run out and will then go off.
This of course means i cannot close the gates. Even removing the photocells from the circuit and shorting the connectors won't allow me to close (can the learning process of the photocells be 'unlearnt'?)
I have checked the batteries (12.5v and 12.7v respectively) and cleaned out the inside of the cells (and evicted spider!) with no luck.

The only oddity i can see is perhaps (and this might be my imagination) that one light is brighter than the other - and the duller one is at the end of the longest cable run.But as i said it has been fine for 2 years - and has worked ok twice today.
Any advice would be appreciated

hi, i have installed a wingo kit with a mindy a400 control box and 1 set of photo cells. when the system is powered up the leds flash rapidly for ten seconds then the ok led flashes slowly and the stop and photo leds are on. thats as far as it goes. i press the p2 button to start automatic search but nothing happens. the smxi radio receiver does not light up when the button is pressed to memorise a remote. the system is brand new although it has been stored for about 3 years prior to fitting.do you think it is the main control unit or the smxi receiver.is there any way to get them checked or does it mean buying a new system.
any help will be really appreciated.
