Any info on BFT's API? - uspino - 02-03-2020

I'm using BTF iPhone's app to open/close my gate, thanks to the B-EBA WiFi card installed in my Deimos Ultra. Everything works fine, but I'm trying to integrate the gate into Home Assistant and I'm unable to find any info on BFT's API implementation. This is the only thing I found:

https://community.home-assistant.io/t/cover-allow-open-and-close-during-stopped-state/135790

The thread's author seems to have the documentation, but he is not responding. All I know is cloud access is done through these two urls:

https://ucontrol-api.bft-automation.com

https://ucontrol-dispatcher.bft-automation.com/automations

Does anybody have any info on the API, SDK, etc.? Any info could easily lead to Alexa and Homebridge (HomeKit) implementation. Thanks!

Thank you, I did contact them but they want me to go through my local support office, and they either don't have any idea about what I'm asking or are not willing to provide that info, even though BFT announces U-Control as an open API. I'll keep trying though.

That would be great, thanks! In these coronavirus times some of us have have more time to work in this kind of implementation.

Hi,

yes i completely understand.
just had a chat with BFT according to themselves you cannot link this with homekit or Alexa.
if you are looking for something you can integrated with alexa i would suggest Fibaro this is a home automation brand that can be integrated with alexa.

RE: Any info on BFT's API? - uspino - 06-04-2020

Actually you can. You just need to integrate the BFT cover into Home Assistant, and then Home Assistant can expose it to HomeKit and/or Alexa. I'm doing that right now with no issues whatsoever. And if BFT made his API info more widely available (they claim it's open source) it would be still easier.
Anyway, for those with Home Assistant willing to give it a try, I posted some info here. Again, it woks fine with HomeKit and Alexa.
