Gate system on our housing complex - Q's - RAF96 - 30-03-2016

Hi - 1st time poster - I am on the Admin Committee for our gated housing complex in Cyprus, which has a twin swing gate at the front entrance and a slider at the back entrance, both of which have been deactivated at some point and I want to know how to re-commission them.

The key fob I have is black with Nice Flor-s in white text on the front and 2 buttons that when pressed show a red led.

On the back of the fob the models listed are FLO1R-S, FLO2R-S, FLO4R-S, FLO1R-SC, FLO2R-SC, FLO4R-SC, FLO1R-M, FLO2R-M, FLO4R-M (433.92MHz) for all EU countries.

My problem is I have looked on this site for the operating manual, the battery change instructions and the programming guide.

Only the battery change instructions match what I have in hand. The internals of the fob are not as described in any programming guide - there is no extra led and push button nor any dip switches.

To date I have not gotten inside the gates control panel(s) as I have no information about those either, but when I use the fob the slider gate warning beacon flashes but the gate does not move. The front gate has power to a bust sensor as a red light is on, but the gate beacon does not flash on command of the remote, nor does the gate move.

I would like to get this all working again without calling in some gate specialist at mega-euros for what may be a simple job for a qualified engineer (me). Given the correct manuals it is well within my skill-set to fix this.

Thanks for your help Rob.

Hiya RAF96. If the control board for the gates are not nice and it is only the remote fobs. Then purchase a new fob system. You are only closing an open contact.

One of your sensors is bust. Depending on control set up. If the gate gate has a faulty safety device. The gate will open and not close. (Fail safe). or the gate will not operate at all. Link out the faulty sensor if you can. for test purpose only.

check gates in manual operation. Check all fixtures and fittings. No matter how big a gate is. If correctly set up. You should be able to manualy operate the gates. Once gates are up and running. Listen for noises. You should not have banging, clanging, shaking, etc.
