Moovo xw4 won't move the gates - Jthorne - 12-07-2015

Hi, I have just installed some moovo gates.

The install itself went well however when I power up the gates I get the red and green lights but no matter what I try I can't get the gates to move.

I have taken off all the bus devices and cleared the memory. According to the manual I need too move one gate 10% out the other 20. Then press the P1 button for 5 seconds and this should then start the learn process for 0 and 1 positions.

But not matter what I try I can not get the motors to move, nor even make any sound. Except for the red and green light which seem to do as they should i get nothing else.

Help...

RE: Moovo xw4 won't move the gates - Jthorne - 13-07-2015

After searching the internet for hours I cam across a video in French that shed the setup of other gate from moovo but with a similar control unit.

When the guy did the 0 and 1 position setup he held P1 for 5 seconds. Then he held P1 again for about 4. The green light stayed on during this time and then the gate moved. I applied this method to my gates and was able to get the 1st leaf to move in. (this is all completely missing from the manual I was supplied!)

The only issue is that I cant see how I then stop the gate at the 0 position. I am able to let it go to its full extreme and then it will move leaf 2. Then open both gates then close both gates. However this means the gates are closing to a negative point and moving 0 to 90' positive and then back 130'. leaving a massive gap between the gates and them opened out on the path the wrong way.

I assume that there is more to the manual missing as there must be a way to stop the 1st leaf where you want it on the initial setup from 20' to 0' and then it will move the 2nd leaf and again you can stop it.

When I left the gate programed just to their extremes they actually just spent about 10 mins opening and closing all on their own and never stopped. I am assuming this is because the 0 and 1 positions are not being defined correctly.

Help :-)
