BFT LUX2B Intermittent failure to open - brookkr - 22-03-2015

One motor occasionally fails to actuate even though the motor can be heard running. Opening the release valve, opening the gate and closing the valve allows it to operate for a few days until it happens again. Have had motor oil refilled / topped up by specialist.

I saw this problem reported before but apparently no solution found. Any clues anyone? Thanks.

Hi,

Thanks for the message,

it is hard to definitely say however, it could be a sign of a failing capacitor if it is the 230v variant of the Lux motor. Have you tried replacing this?

Joe

Thank you Joe. Yes they are the 240 v version and I have changed capacitors and topped up oil and still no change. Still need help. !!!

Hi,

Thank you for your response on this.

Have you tried going through a limit search procedure, I am unaware of what control board you have in situ but every control board has a limit search procedure. Furthermore, if we can identify what control board you have in situ if it has a LCD display on it there could potentially be a fault code on it, could you tell me if this has any message on it?

Ben
