Proteco gate code remotes - stroller - 08-06-2012

Hi I have a proteco advantage unit opening double gates, it stopped working yesterday but I got it going again by cleaning the photo cells, unfortunately all the remote key fob codes seem to have been lost. I have tried to reprogram them but I can't get the unit to accept them, I am following the instructions to the letter, the red 'full stop dot' that should appear when I press button C and the remote button won't light up and the code is not accepted. The gate works fine on the key switch, I have tried 4 different fobs and they are all the same. Help!

Hi

In order to best advise, need clarification on the key fob:
1) When the button is pressed and held on the keyfob, does the light on the keyfobs turn red or green?
2) When the button is pressed and held on the keyfob does the red dotr appear on the screen?

If the remote is showing a red light, this indicates Low battery and / or signal weakness therefore the receiver has a much less chance of picking up the signal. This is rectified by re-modulating the keyfob code (rolling code) until we see a green light on the keyfob - and/or changing the battery. However, if the key fob is showing green light and you still see no dot on the screen, this indicates radio card failure.

Kind Regards
